strict lack of ornaments and formal pursim

BAUHAUS

In the twenties of the 20th century, artists, architects and designers of the Bauhaus movement around Walter Gropius rediscovered the clear, geometric from for art, architecture and design. The strict lack of design was synonymous to clarity and ultimately freedom. The idea of combining art and craftsmanship also defined the ideals of Deumer manufactory. The Deumer collections of that time mirror the formal purism of square, circle and rectangle, combined with the nature given beauty of gemstones.
